As leaders and parents, we often find ourselves reflecting on the profound responsibility of shaping the next generation. In a world that is constantly evolving, the role of parenting has become even more critical—not only in nurturing children’s physical and emotional development but also in instilling values that help them navigate the complexities of life with confidence and empathy.
Childhood is a precious time of discovery and growth. It’s the foundation upon which a person’s character and outlook are built. As we guide our children through this journey, it’s important to foster an environment where curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, and resilience is developed through life’s challenges.
As a leader, I’m sure you see parallels between building a strong team and nurturing children—both require patience, understanding, and the ability to inspire and motivate. I believe the principles of good parenting, such as communication, empathy, and respect, translate well into leadership, and perhaps it’s these principles that enable us to lead effectively both at home and in the workplace.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this, and how you believe leadership and parenting intersect in today’s fast-paced world.
Ehad – A resolve to better upbringing of Children, is a Pakistani initiative working to increase the awareness, consciousness, and acknowledgement of young people’s distinct informational and emotional. ‘Life Skills’ required during adolescence among parents, teachers, health care providers and authority figures in government, media and religious institutions. Ehad is struggling to break the silence on adolescent’ health and behavioral issues on a national level, adopting multi – dimensional and multi-tiered strategies including ‘edutainment’ and a 360-degree social campaign approach. We have to strengthen our collective effort in bringing up physically and emotionally healthier and stronger young people — the future of our country.
